Full Time Night Porter

Shifts are either 7pm to 7am or 11pm to 7am.  Flexibility is key.

DUTIES:

When based at the Main building you will be required to cover Front of House and other designated duties until closure and thereon to ensure the building is safe and secure during the night. 

Whilst based at the Hotel you are required to ensure the safety of all guests at all times by providing “out of hours” cover fulfilling duties as required.

  • Ensure the safety of all guests at all times
  • Provide excellent front of house, working in our bar and grill to support other staff
  • Dealing with incoming telephone calls speedily, efficiently and in a professional manner at all times
  • Respond and deal with customer telephone enquiries, wherever possible
  • Ensure all areas throughout the buildings are tidy and maintained in good working order, ready for the days activities
  • Accommodate any client needs, dealing with any issues or requests such as room service to support other staff
  • Report any serious incidents or serious security risks immediately to the local police for action
  • Provide check in and check out services in the Hotel as required, ensuring all administration is maintained accurately at all times
  • Handle guest comments and queries in a professional manner at all times, responding quickly and efficiently to their needs
  • Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times both with fellow colleagues and external customers. To maintain a smart appearance
  • Deal with or report any maintenance issues for action
  • To administer “cashing up” reconciliation procedures as may be required
  • Work on other duties through the night as may be reasonably requested to meet the needs of the business

Cleaner / Housekeeper

This post will hold no guaranteed hours initially but is required due to growth, and to cover busy periods and staff holiday, therefore flexibility is key.

Tasks:

You are required to:

  • Ensure the departments standard operating procedures are adhered to at all times
  • To liaise on a daily basis with the relevant staff to ensure all requirements are continually monitored 
  • Attend any department meetings that may be required from time to time
  • Work in a timely manner, as an integral part of the team, ensuring attention to detail at all times 
  • Report any maintenance faults to ensure they are rectified
  • Ensure any guest lost property is effectively collated in accordance with the lost property procedure 
  • Ensure correct uniform is worn at all times and that you present a professional image to our customers at all times
  • Ensure you are polite, punctual and helpful at all times for the benefit of guests and colleagues
  • Have a complete understanding of all Company procedure
